I work at the chiropractic college where Dr. Cara received her degree, and I am also lucky enough to call her a good friend.  When I was looking for a new student intern, there was no question in my mind that Cara would be the best chiropractor for me.  She is the most caring, compassionate, friendly and knowledgeable person I know.  I was sad to see her graduate, but even more excited for her to go out into the world and make a difference.  She now cares for my 3 year old daughter Riley, and she is an absolute natural with children.  Riley, who is usually very shy and hesitant, really likes Dr. Cara and now loves to see her on the weekends!  She is a very healthy, vibrant child, and I know she is so much healthier subluxation-free.  I wouldn’t trust my daughter’s chiropractic care to just anyone- I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Cara and her ability.

I was playing a mad game of Frisbee when it happened.  My right arm when numb.  Being the stubborn, oh-it’s-nothing type of girl I am, I kept playing.  The next morning my right arm was throbbing numb, and my neck had decided to stick cock-eyed to my right and my whole back was in pain. My mom suggested going to see a chiropractor.  I thought of a ninja like man pounding on my back, as my poor back made the sound equivalent to an elephant stepping on a bag of pretzels.  I opted to take the day off work, and pop a few aspirins.  The next day was worse, and mom had already made me an appointment- I was going to the chiropractor.

When I arrived I didn’t find any ninjas hanging out in the shadows.  Instead I saw a slanted version (head still cocked sideways) of a pretty young lady.  She led me into a quite little room with music and candles.  The atmosphere put me at ease…well a little. 

Cara instructed me to lie flat up against a table that would lay me flat on my stomach.  She told me she was the ninja… I mean chiropractor, and that she wasn’t into the whole crack-your-back-into-a-million-pieces deal.  Instead she used a little tool that pushed gently on the bone to put it back where it should be.  She also informed me that getting your back aligned would help with circulation, and might even make other awful monthly facts of life easer to deal with. 

At the end of my session my neck turned back into a neck instead of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, my arm wasn’t frozen or throbbing in between the awake and dead stage, and my back was relived of most of it’s stress.  I was happy, and ready to play Frisbee again!  But my guardian angel, Cara, warned me not to run off and go nuts just yet. My body needed time to process the changes she had made.

Then she set me up with three more appointments.  Two where to treat my crazy spasming body and the last was just to make sure I was finally okay.  I didn’t have my body crushed or popped like a kid eating bite-sized carrots.  Instead I got a wonderful, relaxing room where my back was gently adjusted back to health, while Cara walked me though the whole ordeal, reassuring me that I was going to be fine. Cara wasn’t a ninja or just some chiropractor, but she became a friend or an angel that just decided to leave her wings at home.

Before I started receiving chiropractic care with Cara, I was having severe neck pain. The pain was so intense on one side of my neck that it was giving me headaches and making me feel even more nauseated than I already was, as I was pregnant with my second child. So I was sick and tired, and I had had enough of feeling crummy all the time!  I knew I couldn't go the rest of my pregnancy being so uncomfortable, so I finally got set up with Cara. Not only did Cara make me feel totally comfortable, but also I just knew in my heart I could trust her with my body and the little girl growing inside me. We share a lot of the same beliefs in natural healthcare, and having similar points of view made me believe even more in her ability to take care of me. As a result of her care, I had a much more comfortable pregnancy. Most of the neck pain had left within a matter of weeks and regular adjustments made getting around with a big 'ol belly much easier. Preceding the delivery of my baby girl, I expected the labor and delivery to be exhausting and long, as it was with my first child. But because my pelvis was aligned and my spine was free of subluxations, my body worked marvelously through the labor and delivery process, which only took about thirty minutes once things got underway. What's more is I had boundless energy after the delivery, which even surprised me! And I believe all of this was due in large part to the chiropractic care I received from Cara. She is an absolutely warm person who believes in treating people with love and kindness, and we consider her a forever friend of our family! You will not be disappointed with her treatment!
